Famous Nigerian actress, Omotola Jolade,Ekeinde MFR, popularly known as Omosexy said she has been in isolation for sometime now after testing positive for Corona virus also known as Covid-19.
The Nollywood actress now recovering from the deadly virus took to her Instagram page to inform her over 4million followers of the development.
She promised her followers full details soon. But she advised all to be very careful.
“Dear friends, I struggled with going public with this, but I had no peace and I believe this is what God wants me to do. So, I hope His will be done. People who know me are all shocked as I am one of the most careful who kept really safe. What then happened? Well, I got this on a set; a movie set. So, please, I am speaking to you all out of love, please, we need to be extra careful now.”
Since her Nollywood film debut in 1995, Omosexy has appeared in 300 films, selling millions of video copies. She has received numerous high-profile awards, including national award of Member of the Federal Republic, MFR. She launched a music career, and amassed an enviable fan base.
She is the first African celebrity to receive over 1 million likes on her Facebook page.
The 42 years old actress is also a philanthropist, wife, mother, singer and former model. She is married to Capt. Matthew Ekeinde and blessed with four children.
Omosexy and her husband met when she was 16 years; Capt. Ekeinde proposed to her 2years after.
Though the power couple got married in 1996, they had their dream wedding in 2001 aboard a Dash 7 aircraft, flying from Lagos to Benin.
Capt. Ekeinde flew the plane for about 10mins before handing over to his co-pilot to enable him say his marital vows.
Among the guest aboard the aircraft was a priest who joined the couple.
Beyond her show business accomplishments, she is also applauded for her remarkable humanitarian efforts.
