Interim Chairman of the association, Nathaniel Aghahowa expressed his profound pride in being a Benin man and highlighted the successes of other communities, emphasizing the importance of unity and emulation. Madam Obaseki’s legacy was marked by her passion for bringing people together and transcending borders, cultures, and backgrounds. Mr. John continued, “This is her passion—to bring the people together.” Madam Obaseki’s leadership, handed over to John in 2009, continues to inspire a legacy of unity within the association.
