A popular Nigerian actress, model, and philanthropist, Tonto Dikeh, has announced plans to have dinner with 10 outstanding women entrepreneurs (widows and single moms), to celebrate Easter.
She revealed the plan to her 6.6 million followers on Instagram. According to her, the event will be organized under the auspices of the Tonto Dikeh Foundation.
The event, which will include a shopping spree, makeover, spa treatment, business seminar as well as start-up support, will obviously put an everlasting smile on the faces of beneficiaries.
According to Dikeh, the initiative is to celebrate “hard-working struggling women” in society and give them an “eventful and unforgettable” Easter.
Tonto Dikeh Foundation was founded in the year 2000 with the aim of protecting the rights of women and girl children. For over two decades, the foundation has continuously provided humanitarian services to Internally displaced persons, rape victims, motherless baby homes, widows, and single mothers in rural areas.
Recently, the foundation won an award as the Philanthropic Group of the Year at the seventh edition of the Uncommon Personality Awards.
Tonto Dikeh, with an estimated net worth of $2million, also received the Global Humanitarian Celebrity Award in the just concluded 2021 edition of the iGlobal IMpact Award. She shared photos and videos of her receiving the award from Sen. Shehu Sani on her Instagram page.
Tonto was named among Africa’s top 10 most outstanding NGO founders by Africa CEO Merit Awards.
Though most people see her as very controversial, I sincerely think that she is one of Nigeria’s top celebrities who has shown the world what social responsibility entails.
Sweet Tonto, more awards to your name and on your award shelve.
